My older son Caleb's teacher was talking to them about that whole physics experiment they're messing with to re-create the Big Bang theory. She was telling them about how there's a miniscule chance it could cause a black hole and suck the earth in. While I'm not one for pulling punches when it comes to the truth, the kids are 9 yrs. old for Christ's sake... Have some tact. I got a kid that's biting his nails all worried and jumping at sounds like a 70 yr. old woman now, thanks.

Anyway, that subject, coupled with the tracks "Sermon" on the Madvillain remixes, and "Eutow" by Autechre (which awesomely reminds me of the music in that game Mass Effect) sort of inspired this photo-manip experiment. Stock image was a random find, I can't remember where it came from. This isn't really anything to be called finished work or anything like that. Just Friday afternoon shits and giggles-type shit.

Dude, I forgot to say that too... I watched that last weekend, and while I was thinking about doing it, that opening scene kept popping into my head.

Awesome, vaguely psycadaelic.

There seems to be a lot of fear and misinformation surrounding the LHC. I mean the black hole they plan to create will be smaller than an atom.

It's possible... I didn't really lay it out all that large. I could probably get about a 9"x14" at 150dpi, which isn't all that great.

Just tell him that if a black hole does swallow the earth that he won't hear it or anticipate it in any way, so there is nothing to worry about because there's nothing he can do to stop it. :ohnoes:
