Artist's Comments
This was obviously inspired by my rant a few journals ago about Kanye's overbearing 'confidence' and semi-outrageous claims about his position on the world scale.
I figured it would be hypocritical of me as an artist to say that he should let his art speak for him, and have me blabber on about it. So I decided to do a piece to reflect my opinion. I'm mostly fucking around, and chuckled a little bit when I put that "me" pattern together. Plus I think I nailed the likeness pretty well. Bottom line: I respect the dude, I love his beats (for the most part) and you have to respect his audacity. His attitude is just a little annoying though, you have to admit. Very powerful piece. I agree with you. He makes good beats, has some damn good songs, but he's too cocky to tolerate. But you gotta admit the "Bush don't like black people" was fucking hillarious!
Poor Mike Meyers didn't know what in the hell to do.
As for the piece... looks just like the dude, for sure. Also, I find it interesting that you decided to extend the "Me" pattern from the background to his hair. Kind of like he's got nothing but "me" on his mind, right? Well done, instant fave. This is why I watch!
